Meet the Team: Sundip Raval

Meet Sundip Raval, Carrier Relations Manager, eSIM Go

Sundip is a master at building relationships and has a natural warmth that’s seen him make friends all over the world. His career started at Capital Radio, where he rubbed shoulders with stars like 50 Cent and Kylie, before a chance meeting saw him take an unexpected route into the telco world. He’s never looked back since!

Sundip’s journey into telecoms wasn’t planned, but we’re very glad he’s here! After gaining his BCs (Hons) in Business and Management at London’s Brunel University Sundip went straight into a job with Capital Radio, where he worked alongside DJs and global music stars. A chance conversation led to him venturing into the mobile industry, starting an 18 year career that’s been packed with exciting new challenges and opportunities.

A love for learning

Joining Alternative Networks in 2007, Sundip began to immerse himself in the telecoms world. He’s seen some huge changes over the years, and it’s this constant evolution that is one of the things he loves most about the industry.

“I’d never call myself an expert and I’m always looking for something new to learn. Easy Street is not for me - I like a challenge and telco is the perfect place to satisfy that, because it never stays still.”

Sundip’s roles have seen him build lasting relationships all over the world - an essential skill for his role at eSIM Go, which involves working closely with network providers to negotiate the best possible rates and services.

Learning from hyper-growth environments and big name enterprises

Sundip has played a pivotal role in companies including CKH Innovations, EE, and Truphone. These experiences have taught him invaluable lessons about finding stability in a rapidly evolving market, and he’s fascinated by seeing how different companies face up to the challenge.

“The ability to adapt and evolve is key. Some organisations become more bureaucratic and careful about making changes, while others are excited by it and naturally take more risks. Even when your business is at the top of its game it’s essential to find exciting new ways to challenge the market and maintain your place. Customers are drawn to companies that can connect with them on a human level and tell a compelling story, and eSIM is really capturing people’s interest.”

The art of building lasting relationships

“I love to see people grow and feel supported and have always taken this into my professional life. If you ask my kids what I do they’ll say I sit on my computer talking to people all day! That’s partly true, but all those conversations are building lasting relationships. Human connection has always been really important to me, and everything I do is built on trust and mutual respect.”

Looking ahead

“We’re going to be seeing some huge changes in the way people connect over the coming years. There’s going to be a combination of watches, glasses, maybe even some sort of screen that you wrap around your wrist like you used to see in the old Star Trek movies. It’s fascinating to see life imitating art and some of the tech we saw in sci-fi becoming part of daily life. eSIM is going to be a huge part of this evolution and I’m really excited to see what the future holds.”
